Can Pakistan do it?

After losing a series 2-3 to SA does Pakistan still has the momentum to beat the Indian team in their home ground? Well I think there is a big question, as there is no doubt that the Pakistani team has capability to win against big teams but do not forget that the Pakistani team does also has a weakness of losing a light game in a blink of eye. Recently when the Pakistan was required 36 runs from 10 over they [Pakistan] could not manage to complete the game and still lost by 14 runs.
Such performance from world class team puts you in doubt regarding each game they play. Along side every thing did any one considered why inconsistent performance is displayed by Pakistani team. Lets highlight some of the problems

Physical fitness:

I personally believe that there is no physical fitness which is preventing each player to perform 100%. The fitness is important for each member of the team in order to perform time after time. PCB needs to set up the programs to allow each player to do fitness training with the team and individually and also set fitness target to achieve end of each week. Also PCB should organise set of activity sessions which involves physical and mentally fitness.

Attitude:

Each player of the team seems to have different attitude toward the game. I remember when I was a coach for a junior club in High Wycombe (uk), I was always telling them [the players] that “you are the best and there is nothing better than you, so go and prove it to opponent that you were and are the best and will become better”. But Pakistani players seem to be looking down when it is time for them to perform.

Responsibility

The biggest issue with the Pakistani team is taking responsibility. Some time it is quite obvious for the supporters to realise that some players did not bother to take the responsibility. I think it is not fear to pick on one person but in the recent game (final) of Pak against SA. S.Afridi and M Ul-Haq could have stayed longer and finished the game with out taken any risk. When a player of the team takes responsibility then the team will succeed but when a player relays on other then the team will fail.

Finally most important is mentally fitness. Each player should have positive attitude and mentally fit to succeed.

I hope and believe that PCB consider to work on above issues in order to succeed in the future before its too late.

Thank you
